Grocery Assignment = Match The Plate

Before
After

Inspired by a couple of beautiful plates I bought the other day, I gave myself an interesting grocery trip assignment: Match the plate.

The ensuing grocery selection was different and more exotic than my usual. In matching the artistic plates, I selected some fresh beautiful foods.

Here are the ingredients of the first dish:

*finely chopped butter lettuce and kale, herbs de provence (a delicious standard blend), Israeli brine feta, hearts of palm noodles, smoked ahi tuna, cayenne, olive oil*

A few of these I would normally get; a few of them are out of the ordinary. Variety of ingredients means an array of nutrients, plus it’s exciting and more engaging. I was involved in the selection of foods in different way than normal when I was shopping, and it was fun plating the ingredients on the fabulous new dishware.
