Reviving the Meditation Practice

5 minutes this morning turned into 8

I am starting back in to my meditation practice with very simple parameters: five minutes in the morning and then five minutes at night before bed. Already today I went beyond the allotted five minutes, immediately feeling the centering and clarifying benefits. There are different approaches to take of course with meditation. This morning I focused on affirmations. I was in the headspace of encouraging myself and wanting to have an enjoyable productive feeling day. Tonight I will probably meditate non-verbally to settle down. We’ll see! It always helps.
